Something has to sell

I’ve been out the whole day. In between car rides, shuttle, bus, jeepney trips. I’m exhausted, until I came up on something about the thick line between reality and superficiality (haha yeah, that’s what I came up with!). Well, I prove it to you, it has something to do during my (atleast) 270km day ride.

If you know these things exist in REALITY:

Politics
It’s not just about promising, sincerity and trust during the campaign. Unfortunately politics exist everywhere. Literally, in your home, in your workplace, school even in basketball. It’s all just about another way portraying who’s more powerful or righteous than the other. Or proving of someone to others that is not actually benefiting others except themselves.

Local TV
The stories of drama, crying, non-ending problems of the main character, undying devotion, from nothing to revenge, don't forget the title (just by itself) I’ll say it again, DDRRAAMMAA.

exception to this one, it's honest. right? =)

Pictures in advertising
Funny, why is it usually the models of skin whitening products are already white even before they started endorsing it. I guess it’s just a mystery we’ll never solve.
Tag lines for brand names
Catchy! too good to be true! but I checked out the price, it’s just the same for like every other developers. And i’m sure you can find a lot of your own example too.

Human Resources
They told you you’re qualified, told you they will call you, or much worse- expect a call after 1 week. But really, none of it happened.

Celebrities
The sweety pie, the all nice to everyone, the exchange gift of a loveteam before the release of their upcoming movie on valentines day. come on! it’s a build-up.

Beauty contests
The smiling the whole time during the contests, large hair, thick make up in person, question and answer (don’t even try make me explain about this) promoting recyclable things, loving nature... getting rid of plastics. Oh!

Social climbers
I also define this as show offs. You can be in there, everywhere, buy this buy that. Then where’s the money coming from? From the money of your father or mother working hard as a domestic helper. You bought a “new thing” that’s worth half of the earnings of the one who works hard? I don’t know maybe it’s also the 3rd half of your monthly salary.

These were just some of the reasons why I’m not a fan of local TV, since 1st year high school to be exact (9yrs. ago).  I’d probably just play music than watch all of these. You know, I'm dead if non-filipino movies doesn’t exist.

But don’t get me wrong, i’m a proud Filipino. Just not its form of entertainment.
